UCB at the American Academy of Neurology congress, April, 9-16

We also supported a series of high profile activities at the meeting which ran from April 9-16. The company played an active role at AAN engaging with delegates through posters, oral presentations and media outreach.

UCB sponsored the Brain Health Fair, AAN’s first ever patient health fair. The health fair was a free, daylong event attended by more than 1,000 patients, families, and caregivers affected by neurological disorders with important resources in the quest for better preventions, treatments, and cures. A UCB team staffed a table at the fair and provided information about important information to people with epilepsy and their caregivers. The team’s interactions with these patients were an incredible reminder of the important work we all do to improve the standard of care for epilepsy patients.

We also sponsored the first Wayne A. Hening Sleep Medicine Investigator Award. This prize aims to recognise important scientific contributions about sleep from promising young investigators, and highlight the essential link between neurology and sleep medicine.
