Good news ahead of Easter

With most of us preparing for a couple of days off over the Easter period, it was nice to leave with good news ringing in our ears.
Is it just me or is there always a glut of news right before Christmas and Easter? It’s like months quota of news has to be condensed into a single week!
We’ve seen some positive developments at UCB lately and hope there is more ‘in the pipeline’, so to speak.
Colleagues in the US called this week with an early Easter present: as from July, one of our core medicines will be available to treat patients with Parkinson’s disease and restless legs syndrome.
This news came earlier than expected and is very welcome indeed. On top of that, we have a new compound for the treatment of patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis entering the last stage of the intense and lengthy clinical trials process and not only our R&D teams feel very encouraged by that.
The coming months are shaping up to be busy ones and look likely to bring more news for us to share, so stay tuned!
