14 Likes Growing our U.S. roots with a new facility in Georgia Posted by Jacques Marbehant, Transformational Programs & Infrastructure 24-Mar-2026 The past several months have truly been a marathon, a journey defined by determination, collaboration, and deep reflection as we searched for just the right place to bring our vision to life. Finding the perfect location for our new biologics facility involved many long days and late nights, working alongside a team of extraordinary people whose commitment never wavered. I am deeply proud of what we have accomplished together, and this new site in Gwinnett County, Georgia, stands as a testament to what is possible when a shared purpose guides us forward.Every decision is guided by a genuine focus on improving the lives of people living with severe diseases. As innovative medicines reach more patients, the path forward includes expanded manufacturing capacity in the United States. The new biologics facility in Gwinnett County, Georgia, is designed to meet increasing demand and ensure patients receive reliable, timely access to vital treatments. The Georgia facility will complement our global network and strengthen partnerships, including our U.S. based contract manufacturing organization (CMO) network. This approach boosts our ability to deliver at scale without compromising on quality. Essentially, we’re building a campus which will become our future hub for Manufacturing and Supply operations in the U.S. Choosing Gwinnett County for our next chapterHaving called Georgia home for over three decades, we recognize the state’s unique advantages. Choosing the Rowen Development in Gwinnett County (TAG) wasn’t just a practical decision; it felt like the right next step in our U.S. journey. The area’s scalable infrastructure, efficient permitting, and thriving life sciences ecosystem made it a natural fit. Gwinnett County is home to a vibrant and growing community with strong international appeal - both educationally and professionally - and offers an excellent quality of life. It’s a collaborative environment that allows companies like ours to grow while contributing meaningfully to local communities. What stood out – among the many positives - was the opportunity to be working with talented, passionate people. With Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia close by, we’re able to tap into an incredible pool of expertise and ambition to help us shape the future of advanced manufacturing together.Future-ready, sustainable supply chainSpanning 460,000 square feet on 79 acres, the site will serve as a cornerstone of our biologics network, with robust infrastructure and an expert team. By weaving in artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart resource management, our digital first approach not only strengthens efficiency and sustainability but also reflects our shared pride in building a truly resilient supply chain.Sustainability guides every decision. From efficient facility design to advanced automation, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint as we grow.Driving economic impact and job creationOur investment brings significant benefits to local communities. By opening this new campus, we’ll be creating around 330 permanent, skilled jobs in biologics manufacturing and more than 1,000 construction jobs. Together, we’re supporting a growing workforce and generating an estimated $5 billion in economic impact for the area.Deep gratitudeAs I reflect on this journey, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who made this project a reality. To the dedicated team, our valued partners, and all those who offered support along the way- thank you. Your commitment and collaboration have been the cornerstone of our progress. This accomplishment would not have been possible without each and every one of you, and I am genuinely proud to move forward – together - toward a healthier tomorrow.
