In an exciting move to make patient support more accessible, UCB has partnered with smartpatient, creators of the globally popular MyTherapy mobile health app, to offer a tailored digital health companion for people living with psoriasis. This collaboration, which debuts in Germany this month, underscores UCB’s commitment to elevating the lives of people living with severe diseases through impactful partnerships.

Meeting patients where they are

MyTherapy is the world’s most downloaded medication management app, trusted by millions of people worldwide. Its innovative platform offers remote patient monitoring and helps users stay on track with their treatments via features such as personalized reminders, health tracking and educational content. Recognizing the app’s widespread adoption, UCB reached out to partner with smartpatient to meet patients where they already are – on a platform they trust and actively use – to enhance the patient experience.

“This partnership represents a step forward in making patient support more accessible, leveraging digital health solutions to bring support directly to those living with severe diseases”, said Stephan Ladenburger, Head of Immunology at UCB Germany. “By integrating resources on MyTherapy’s proven platform, we are unlocking a new chapter in patient engagement – meeting individuals where they are to deliver a personalized experience that is tailored to their needs.”

Accessible support for people living with psoriasis

All patients, regardless of their treatment, can benefit from the MyTherapy mobile app. It offers a wide range of comprehensive features designed to support patients in managing their health, from medication reminders to tracking symptoms and other key health metrics.

Through this collaboration, UCB and smartpatient ensure treatment-specific support is easily accessible for people living with psoriasis prescribed a UCB treatment. After downloading the MyTherapy app, patients can activate a dedicated module for their treatment. Once activated, this module offers educational materials tailored to help patients better understand their psoriasis treatment journey. This integration simplifies medication management and ensures a centralized resource hub to empower patients to take control of their health with ease.

UCB and smartpatient share a mission to make healthcare more patient-centric and accessible. By combining UCB’s deep therapeutic expertise with smartpatient’s trusted digital health platform, this partnership creates a seamless patient experience while opening new avenues for innovation.
