UCB Extraordinary General Meeting

Brussels, Belgium, 6 November, 2009 - 18:00 (CET) - regulated information - Following the successful placement of its senior unsecured convertible bonds, due 2015 (the 'Bonds') on 30 September 2009, an extraordinary general shareholders' meeting was held earlier today by the company.

All proposed resolutions that were submitted to the extraordinary general shareholders' meeting were approved, including all resolutions related to the recent bond issues and the appointment of a new board member.
