Fab' fragment

A specific part an antibody which contains the antigen binding site.

FDA or Food and Drug Administration

The connective tissue cells of the body. Fibroblasts produce long strands of proteins that act as fibres in tissues. In the skin they produce collagen, reticulin and other elastic fibres.


A chronic neurological disorder characterised by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and multiple tender points that occurs in precise, localised areas, particularly in the neck, spine, shoulders and hips; also may cause sleep disturbances, morning stiffness, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and other symptoms.
