UCB.com homepage – new and improved

    Our homepage has been redesigned to give a more modern and fresh feel, and is now easier to navigate as well as being more mobile-friendly.

    The new-look homepage is part of our ongoing effort to improve our web presence and to give you – the reader – content you are looking for in an accessible format.

    Regular readers of the UCB.com Magazine might recall that we have asked for input on ways to improve users’ experience and that we took part in an online benchmarking survey of pharmaceutical companies’ corporate websites in 2009 and 2011.

    On both occasions, the survey results were encouraging but highlighted areas where we could improve.

    Overall satisfaction with UCB.com in 2009 was 61% and we made great efforts to build on the feedback we received from the survey. In 2011 satisfaction with our site was 74% - placing us joint-first of the seven pharmaceutical companies taking part.

    Feedback from the survey also helped us to examine the look and feel of the website, prompting us to rethink our use of font sizes and colours and to make the layout ‘cleaner’ or less cluttered.

    We have made the Magazine and Latest News sections more prominent in order to focus on UCB’s most recent activities. There are also more links to our social media channels and the main navigation uses Javascript (rather than Flash) to increase accessibility on mobile devices like tablets and smart phones.
