The bi-annual International Epilepsy Congress (IEC) brings together over 3,000 neurologists, epileptologists and other health professionals with an interest in epilepsy.
It is an opportunity to share scientific data and best practice in clinical care in order to improve outcomes for patients. This year’s IEC takes place in Montreal, Canada, from the 23rd – 27th June and, as ever, UCB will have a strong presence.
UCB is sponsoring a one-day Scientific Exhibit which aims to provide an open and inviting platform to discuss the latest data on our epilepsy products, as well as serving as an opportunity to highlight the company’s corporate societal responsibility initiatives.
We will also have an exhibition booth through which we will use innovative visual story-telling to re-enforce UCB’s commitment to improving the lives of patients with epilepsy.
In addition, the company is sponsoring seven poster presentations. One of the posters, featuring data from patient-physician survey, received a gold star from the Congress organisers recognising the excellent contribution it made to the understanding of epilepsy.
Congresses such as the IEC focus our minds on the need to turn knowledge into innovative therapies for people with epilepsy – a goal that fits neatly with UCB’s new tagline: Inspired by Patients. Driven by Science.
