With the merger of UCB and Schwarz Pharma completing in 2007, the strength of the “new” UCB pipeline delivers:

• one of the strongest portfolios in the sector targeting severe diseases and addressing unmet medical needs
• focus on central nervous system (CNS) disorders and autoimmune and inflammatory diseases (AIID)
• twelve compounds in development providing novel treatments for fourteen separate indications
• more convenient and effective treatments for patients and specialists

UCB is connecting science in new ways, notably chemistry and biology, so that we can leverage the potential of these two disciplines, as well as illuminate the biological pathways involved in severe diseases.
