Welcome to the Asthma Media Centre
This media centre has been developed for journalists reporting on asthma. It provides up-to-date information about asthma and includes resources on signs and symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis and treatment, including current international guidance, as well as useful statistics on the prevalence of the disease.
It also includes expert opinion on some of the key issues in asthma management, including patient expectations of modern treatments, common barriers to patient compliance, the changing focus of international guidelines and the benefits of combination therapy.
